ABOUT ME

HOW IT STARTED

My name is Bethany, and I have always had a passion for creating art. After achieving an A* in both GCSE and A-Level Fine Art, I decided to continue developing my work further, dedicating more time and resources to painting. I started by painting the pets of family and friends before gradually moving into commissioned work. As my artwork has continued to gain exposure, I have expanded my subjects to include animals, vehicles, buildings and sentimental pieces, creating bespoke acrylic paintings tailored to each individual commission. Alongside my full-time career as a software developer, I continue to develop my commission work and take on a limited number of custom pieces throughout the year.

DEVELOPING MY WORK

My chosen style is realism, and I enjoy capturing meaningful photographs, vehicles, buildings and animation stills in acrylic paint. I’m particularly drawn to the detail and precision involved in recreating a subject as accurately as possible while still giving each piece a hand-painted, personal feel. One of my favourite parts of creating commissioned artwork is seeing the reactions from clients when they first receive their finished piece. I also enjoy painting animation stills and stylised scenes, carefully recreating the lines, colours and composition that make those moments so memorable.

MY PROCESS

My preferred medium to work in is acrylic paint, although during my four years studying GCSE and A-Level Fine Art I explored a wide range of artistic mediums including watercolour, graphite, charcoal, coloured pencil and mixed media. This experience helped me develop both my technical skills and attention to detail, which continue to influence my work today. I create bespoke commissions across a variety of subjects including animals, vehicles, buildings, sentimental pieces and animation stills, tailoring each painting to the individual ideas and photographs provided by my clients.
